Emily began a decorated career in floral design in 1997 under the tutelage of Pamela Hardcastle in the Massachusetts Berkshires. It was early in her career that she received premium training in the organic qualities and textures of floral elements within intricate designs. This concentration would become one of the cornerstones of her stunning and unique design sense.

Emily then moved on to Charleston, South Carolina where she joined the floral designers at Tigerlily Florist, learning the retail end of the flower business and expanding her experience within a wide range of events and weddings.

After marrying and settling in Maine, Emily became a key designer at Minott's Flowers, taking on the role of store manager of the Falmouth location and eventually serving as Wedding Coordinator for Minott's in Portland.

Desiring an outlet that would allow her more direct contact with wedding design and with clients, Emily left in 2008 to create Emily Carter Floral Designs. She now focuses her attention on the finishing touches and fine details which make up a spectacular wedding.

Emily now resides in Freeport, Maine with her husband and two daughters. She is available for a wide range of floral work throughout New England.
